Recently back from Budapest
On my way back from exhibiting at Maison&Objet in Paris I spent a few days in Budapest. The show experience is always intense and demanding physically, mentally and energetically. So my Budapest trip was a wonderful chance to wind down, wander the streets and recharge my batteries. It was perfect.
I saw exhibitions, “took the waters” in several of the thermal spas for which the city is famous, ate a lot of ice cream because it was VERY hot, admired some intricate graffiti knitting (they have Liewe Hexie in Hungary too it seems), and had a chance to soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful, interesting city.
My phone camera sees a lot of action on these trips, and one of the things I was fascinated by was the extraordinarily beautiful and ornate manhole covers. Maybe they have the emblematic makings of a “budapest blanket”. Watch this space!
Happy Monday!
