Fluffy – Tracy Chapman

Fluffy Mohair is a versatile, double knitting-ish, weight yarn. It’s soft, light and an easy introduction to mohair. And you can knit it with a huge range of needle sizes. Use a 5mm for more standard gauge fabric, or work your way up to 15mm for a light, loose fabric full of drape.

Elmarie named this colour to honour Tracy Chapman and her song Fast Cars in particular.

Available on backorder

Fast Car was the lead single on Tracy Chapman’s debut studio album, released in April 1988.  Elmarie is a car fan, and the colours made her think of the car lights in the Fast and Furious movies, and the fluorescent lights of the city at night.
If you’re looking to combine it in a colourwork project make it the star of the show, like Tracy Chapman herself, and add Indigo, Airforce, Rainforest or Sage as the supporting acts.

Since our colours are hand dyed in small batches there is variation between batches, and even within a batch.  We have a process and ingredients for each colour recipe, but can’t control how the colours “land” each time.
If you’re looking for a sweater quantity please let us know and we will dye up a batch specially for you.
