I loved Brene Brown‘s most recent blog post on play, and it distracted me into a bit of playtime of my own. Looking around my office it seems I do a fair amount of it, I’ve just taken to cleverly disguising it as “research” or “being creative” and I guess all of that is also true.

For me play is unstructured, free time in which anything and everything is permitted. Tonight it was stopping the knotty process of unwinding tight and tricky wool skeins into balls and allowing myself to be inspired by Brene’s post – taking a few quick pictures of some of the play spaces in my office and posting them here, and realising in the process that my blogging would be so much more fun and frequent if I allowed myself to play more often. Hmmm, I wonder, was that work then, or was it play?

Watch this space…
