Seen at the CCDI …

The first Wednesday of every month is the craft sector meeting  at CCDI (the Cape Craft and Design Institute) where crafters gather for a talk and networking session.  This month it was the Market Access team talking about the various forms of support CCDI offers crafters in getting their products in front of customers.  The sessions are always valuable in terms of the topics discussed and also for getting together with other crafters.

I always take whatever I’m knitting or crocheting along to keep my fingers busy and it was great to see Fran Stewart, who is in charge of Market Support, sporting this beautiful number made by her mother.  The flower is from Chic Fusion, another CCDI supported organisation, owned by my friend Razaan Jakoet, that makes gorgeous felted products.
